Sunbomb - Light Up The Sky (CD)

SUNBOMB, a project of Tracii Guns (g, L.A. GUNS) and Michael Sweet (v, STRYPER), tries to carry on the torch of metal icons such as JUDAS PRIEST, DIO or BLACK SABBATH without reaching their level of songwriting for the most part, though. "Light Up The Sky", the sophomore album of this special project, will please fans of the two main protagonists nevertheless. Good starters for a first impression are the slow "Steel Hearts" or even the rather fast "Scream Out Loud". Timeless heavy metal with two well-known and established players of the scene. (MS)
